Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: 19 September 2026

This page explains how to ask Micro-B to delete the personal information we hold about you. It covers data collected through our WhatsApp business channel and our web studio.

How to request deletion

You can make a deletion request through either of the channels below. You only need to use one.

Option A — By email (recommended)

Send an email to microb.zambia@gmail.com with the subject line Data Deletion Request.

Please include the WhatsApp phone number you used to contact us, so we can find your records.

Option B — Through WhatsApp

Message our business number +260 965 497 907 and send the exact text:

DELETE MY DATA

You may add the phone number you want the records removed for, if it is different from the number you are messaging from.

What happens next

  1. We confirm receipt. We will acknowledge your request, normally within 3 business days.
  2. We verify the request. We may ask you to confirm control of the phone number or email address concerned. This protects your data from being deleted by someone else.
  3. We delete your data. We remove the personal information identified below from our active systems.
  4. We confirm completion. We will tell you when the deletion is done, normally within 30 days of your request.

What we may need to keep

A limited amount of information may be retained where we are legally required to keep it, or where it is necessary for a legitimate purpose that overrides deletion. This is normally limited to:

Where we must keep anything, we keep the minimum necessary and restrict its use to that purpose. We will tell you if this applies to your request.

Deleting WhatsApp messages yourself

You can also remove the conversation from your own device at any time by deleting the chat in WhatsApp. That removes it from your phone; it does not automatically remove our copy, which is why a deletion request to us is still needed.
